The Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies (Sveriges Åkeriföretag) is the leading organization representing Sweden’s road transport industryr. Our mission is to advocate for the road transport industry, advice decisionmakers in society, support our members in their development, and advice the way toward a sustainable and competitive future.
The road transport industry is a cornerstone of the Swedish society. It is vital for trade, employment, and economic growth—and, by extension, for the Swedish economy as a whole. The industry generates approximately SEK 170 billion in turnover, corresponding to around 4 percent of GDP, and employs over 225,000 people. With over 4,700 member companies and close to 38,000 vehicles, we are a united force with a unique opportunity to shape our industry's future.

Member support and national and international collaboration
The Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies is a member-driven organization with both national and regional presence. Our head office is in Stockholm, and through four regional offices, we maintain strong local engagement across the country. This makes us accessible, relevant, and responsive.
We represent Swedish road transport interests internationally and collaborate with sister organizations across the Nordic region and Europe. Alongside DTL in Denmark and NLF in Norway, we co-run the Nordic Logistics Association (NLA) in Brussels, with Finland also participating. We also cooperate with BGL in Germany and FNTR in France through our joint Brussels office, The Common Office, and are members of the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
Swedish Association of Road Transport companies is available to support you—whether it’s in business development, sustainability, competence supply, or political advocacy. Through knowledge, presence, and collective strength, we unite the industry to build the future of road transport.
